The Hook Magazine Clip Of The Day 1987 NTPA Hillsdale, MI Ed Stahl Triple Trouble. 'Busco Gang member Ed Stahl ran Triple Trouble in various forms on the RN and State levels for years and was always right near the front of the class with wedge head Dodge motors, never hemis.

1995 Ft. Recovery Session featuring SS, MINI, MOD, and TWD. All the big players of the mid 90s are here. Kick back, relax. 2 more days to go and it's the weekend. Enjoy. Prime Diesel & Automotive Clip Of The Day 1998 NTPA Imlay City, MI Ron Linder Brutus. Ron was a threat on the RN circuit for many years before stepping up to run GN. Chevrolet power was the choice for the Yooper who hailed from Vulcan, MI. Diesel Freak Clip Of The Day 1997 NFMS Wayne Longnecker River Rat. Because Allisons. 1997 would be a bit of lean year for Wayne running the then (and again) max of twin turbo Allison and factory blown. In later years with the Outlaws, he would switch to Merlin power only to see it legislated against. Today, River Rat has 2 blown hemis. Just as competitive and likely cheaper, but boring. 1999 ATPA Grand American Berville, MI Kevin Masterson River Rat. Kevin and his father Don have been constants at the very front of the Pro Stock class for a very long time. '99 would get Kevin a 3rd place finish in ATPA PS points that he would turn into a title in 2000. 1997 Arcola, IN Steve Bollinger Money Pit. Because more Allisons. Lot's of us woulld love to see this tractor have V12s on it again (and it might. FB shows them putting together one). This was a breakout year for Money Pit. It would win several RN2 hooks including this one and a class of modifieds at NFMS. I'm not really sure who this would have been. I liked it though because you never see anyone go pulling with one of the small utility 66-series tractors. 2007 Berville, MI SWOTPA Scott Rodger Green Reaper. The Rodgers ran (and still do) turbocharged gas-burning JDs in Southwestern Ontario's Modified Farm classes. Running close to stock cubic inches, they mixed in fairly well with large cube aspirated tractors on alcohol ad diesels and made for an interesting class where anything and everything ran together. 1999 Monroe, MI ATPA Grand American Brody Smith The Stinger. Because Allisons! This tractor was originally commissioned by Bob Dabrowski from NH. A Tim Engler holds everything together. Bob owned a tire-distributor in New England and was one of the earliest adopters of the "single cut" design cutters like Bob Parkes began offering in the late 1980s. The Smith family of Armada, MI acquired the tractor in the late 90s and ran it as is before updating it to the Alcohol Abuse spec it last ran with. This tractor is still in the possession of Brody Smith. It is unique for having the crankcases redrilled to run the cylinder banks offset from each-other automotive-style and side by side connecting rods instead of the fork and blade style factory Allisons ran. That rollcage, tho! 2007 Dekalb Pull. This event had recently moved out of the Columbus, OH to Eaton. Tony was there and put the OG Dirty Hooker on the sand pile. A trick every puller longs to pull off. |
