Prime Diesel & Auto COTD 2001 Maurice Stine

2001 Armada Fair Maurice Stine IH 656. Maurice was a veteran of the track having pulled a 60 Series Farmall in the lighter Super Stock classes and later partnering with Johnnie Griggs on a tough Farmall M. This 656 fit into a class that exploded in popularity in eastern MI in the 1990s only to fade almost overnight as it really started to get out of hand. it was called Go-Fast. If you're are looking for the roots of what is today referred to as Naturally Aspirated Super Stock, here it is. Maurice's son Wayne is still active as a puller in the LLSS class with Warhorse, a red one of course. ​
