SIDETRACKED REWIND: 2002 HILLSDALE, MI NTPA

Good Morning and happy Monday!  Both sessions of the NTPA Wolverine State hook at Hillsdale, MI are presented.  Hillsdale's days are numbered as a sloped, sandy horse racing surface.  A new clay track is being built where the stage once was.  This track was like a tunnel and almost under the grandstand roof it was so close.  Watching the drivers tackle a challenging surface in such intimate confines was something special.  The fact that this event is last of the season also meant plenty of out-of-staters show up to run it.  We fear the place will lose some of its charm with the new track and some of the pullers we have spoken with agree.  So sit back and watch how-it-used-to-be!
