1997 Marc Foust Another Buck JD Arcola, IN. Marc ran 2 different versions of the Another Buck SS, mainly on the state and regional circuits, although he did earn a top 10 finish in GN points in his career. For some reason, this bodystyle of JD never caught on and Marc was one of the few to ever run it.

1992 Bob Jostock Wild Child Inwood, ON. How far Bob had come by 1992. Moving up to blower motors just a handful of seasons before, '92 would be the first season where Wild Child would get loaded up with 5 supercharged Big Block Chevys. We would do well enough to finish 3rd in the Pro Naitonal points and make it to the Enderle Pull-Off on the way to GN titles in the future. Yeah, I know! Here it is though. It will be here as always and going to Google Podcasts, iTunes, TuneIn, and Spotify sometime overnight as I learn these platforms better. So subscribe and check out the MERCH that is coming in the next few days. Actually, don't just check it out, buy some so I don't have tubs of this stuff left, lol! The schedule continues to crater, so if you have a show on a date I am open and need help, please call me. 586-405-4471. If I don't answer, leave a message and I will get back with you.
Click below to download. 1997 NFMS Larry Wilson Rawhide IH 686. Larry ran a tough small-frame diesel super in the lighter classes throughout the 1990s. A very competitive machine, it would win the 75 SS title with the Outlaws in 1998. The move to components after the turn of the Century would leave Larry on the outside looking in like many other small-frame Light Super pullers. 1997 Ft. Recovery, OH Rodalyn Knox Country Girl Unlimited. 1997 was a banner year for the Knox team, winning the 2nd of the 3-straight Unlimited titles and the Enderle Pull-Off. This was the house tractor for Sassy Racing Engines and Rodalyn, like many before and since, dabbled across into drag racing (alcohol funnycar in her case). 1997 NFMS Jerry Stewart Down And Dirty. Jerry came up the ranks on the KenTenAl circuit and now is a fixture of the national modified scene. 1997's NFMS was his to own. He won his session, went to the Finals, and whipped everyone again with triple KB power. 1996 NFMS Frank Slifka Dust Devil. Oddballs are a favorite around here and this one goes right up the list. You just don't see pairings like this anymore and that is a loss. The IL-based machine is fronted by a twin-turbocharged, fuel-injected Allison V12 (aw, YEAH!!!) and in the kicker mounts is an injected Big Block Chevy. The audio feed in Freedom Hall has interference for this. Was it due to this tractor? I don't know, but the Allisons were notorious for ignition crossfire in the distributors... so, could be? 2000 North Branch, MI ATPA Grand American Bryan Haug Little Temptation USS. The Haug family of Centralia, KS have been big supporters of the Alky Supers for a long time with a pair of Case machines. Back in 2000, they would finish 7th in the ATPA GA points. Since then, they have earned a string of titles with the Outlaws and you never know when or where they will drop the ramps and throwdown with the best in the world. Events are continuing to drop off the calendar. You can follow along on the Schedule page and if there is a rescheduling or something new that pops up (like the quickest to the pin contest at Wagler Golf Course & Country Club), please let me know. In the meantime, I offer you a session of Pro Stock from BG 1992. Please enjoy. Elkton, MI Nasty Hooker. Nasty was originally intended for the 2.5 class, but was legislated out before it could even hook. These days, it lives life as a 3.0 puller. Built ugly on purpose and to prove that you don't have to break the bank to hit the track. It's the only Hooker that isn't pristine (well, it is where it matters). Nasty is presently in surgery due to a variable compression problem, but it'll be ready for a hook somewhere in 2020... |
